Post: students from CA moving to IL
    Posted by: Carli on 6/27/09

Hi. I am moving to IL with my three children. I was just
wondering what teachers think of students that come from CA
and how they compare with IL. I have heard that they are
way behind and I have heard they are pretty close. However,
I have only heard from other parents that aren't teachers.
My kids do really well here--they have both scored above
advanced in our state tests. We are from a middle class
area and will be moving to Skokie. Just curious as to any
thoughts as to how they would compare. I remember when we
moved as a child from CA to CO--both my brothers were
really behind. I don't want something like that to happen
    to my kids.
Thanks so much for any info!
