I hope they do work out for you. But keep in mind that teaching is an
extremely stressful profession. I love my job and my school, but there are
still kids with issues, crazy parents, administrative decisions that I don't
agree with, supplies that aren't there when you need them the most, district
and state mandates, etc. Grading and lesson planning are huge deals no matter
where you go. So while you're working on your mental and physical health, arm
yourself with good resources for your next job. Fully discuss your physical
problems with your doctor and see if you should ask for any accommodations in
the future. For your mental health, do what you need to do to give you an
outlet to blow off steam, whether it be therapy, yoga, massage, hobbies, etc.
FWIW, when you go for your next interviews and you're asked why you left your
last position, it will look good for you to be able to say that you have
addressed the problems you had and how you plan to avoid making them problems
in the future. Best of luck to you!
