If you can avoid leaving in the middle of the year, please do.
I feel this will really hurt you in the future. I think you
should try to figure out a way to make this work. Your
district will be in a bind to find a replacement now so it is
in their best interests to help you too. Can you get a mentor
or coach to help you? Can you work with your principal to fix
the situation? Can you start over? Can they help you out
with your workload? If your health is in jeopardy, that may
change things, and leaving the job in the middle of the year
can be explained this way, but it will be difficult. I think
it is in your best long term interest to try and stick it out
and fixing it if you can.
