I would also suggest contacting your union representative or
your mentor, if your district participates in a mentoring
program. Perhaps there is something they can to do intervene.
In the "old days", there used to be the threat of having your
teaching certificate pulled so that you can't teach in IL if
you broke your contract. My superintendent said she didn't
thing that was really done anymore. I agree with trying to
get support, but I would start with someone who is not your
direct supervisor first.
