What is typically the procedure for a teacher who has not
worked with their current district for 12 months in regard
to FMLA or taking leave?
I have been diagnosed with a serious health issue and I
need/want to take a few weeks of leave in order to recover
fully and be able to return to work. However, I am worried
that since I am not covered under FMLA, this could mean
major complications with my job.
What typically happens to a teacher who needs to take leave
but does not have enough sick days and is not eligible
under FMLA?
I am stressed about even bringing this up to my employer.
