We have always had a half day of school for our first day
back from summer break. Last year our principal insisted on
having a full day. Now we are making the calendar for next
year and I am insisting on going back to the half day. The
kids are exhausted by 10. With the full day parents were
not able to stay with their child. My principal said that
we can go back to the half day if I show some research or
proof that half day is better for the first day of school.
Can anyone help? I have searched online but everything that
comes up is talking about half-day kinder for the whole year.
