Re: PRAXIS and NYSTCE
Posted by jamie on 2/27/06

hello- my name is jamie and i have taken this awful test 3 times.
I take it for the 4th time on March 5th. The "actual test" that someone posted a couple of months ago is
exactly what's on the exam. Two out of the three times I had the exact same test. The third was a bit
different. Hopfully they do not change it drastically each year. Each time I failed was only 2-4 points off.
In reality that is about 5-6 questions. There is a section of about 3 pages of pictures of artwork you
have to critique and answer questions about the artwork. There is one with Picasso, the statue of David,
Manet " The Fifer", it asks why the painting is controversial, also a picture of "The Great Stupa". Also
there are some questions about what they revealed when cleaning the Sistine Chapel, what are the
French and Royal Academies, Flying Buttress, Leonardo Da Vinci and "The Last Supper" -1st point
perspective, lithography. Thats about all I remember. I pray it's the same or similar questions. The test
actually made me feel like I didn't know anything. THe info seemed irrelevent. Oh well- if anyone gets
any new info on the 2006 test please post something as quick as possible. THANKS! Hope i helped!
    Jamie
