Re: Art Content- I passed bc of this guide!
Posted by Lindsay on 3/03/07

I just took the test and some of what was on the guide was useful and some was just a waste of time.
I know there are several different versions of the test, so here are a few things I remember from
    mine:

    1) Barcelona chair (who designed it)
    2) How are black and white photographs traditionally mounted
    3) Jenny Holzer - working with text
    4) Middle Ages - parchment from animal hides
    5) Several questions on the Harlem Renaissance (artists/styles)
    6) Spirit spouse sculpture (what did they represent/use for)
    7) Several printmaking process questions (monoprinting)
    8) Digital photography/printing (DPI, CMYK)
    9) 4B and 6B pencils - what are they used for
    10) Helen Frankenthaler - color field painting
    11) Basquiat - famous for
    12) "Art for art's sake" - who said it, who believed it (Whistler)
    13) Dadaists

I'm sure more will come back to me as I sit and think of the questions... I'll post more if I remember
    anything significant
