Pedro,
It is not easy for foreign teachers, especially those not
already in the US, to obtain employment. In most parts of the
country, including Indiana, there is no teacher shortage.
Districts have many certified US applicants to choose from. A
few districts in northern Virginia and eastern North Carolina,
for example, have hired foreign teachers for shortage areas in
math, science, and bilingual education. I do not know the
process for hiring these teachers, but I imagine it is very
competitive, just like for US teachers.
