Our district had thought about waiting a year to adopt because
some of the publishers' materials wouldn't be ready for
preview. Now they say they will be, so we are going ahead.
This has been a problem in the past; I hope we get to see
everything.
As for meeting all standards - if I were you, I'd look very
closely at that. A good example is with our math texts. They
say they meet IN standards but there is sooo much more that it
can't possibly all be taught and so in essence we are paying
for much more than we can possibly cover, with not enough
material to really teach the standards. Our classroom
teachers hate our math series. So just be very careful when
previewing. The publishing companies do an excellent snowball
job.
