Forget about finding a teaching job if you're over 30 or don't
know someone in the district. I've been in the same building
almost three years. I've had a couple of interviews but have
recenlty found out they are courtesy interviews and done so that
the principals can say they've interviewed ther right number of
people. All of the contracts went to young men and women
between 23 and 28 with connections in the district. Had I known
about the politics I would not have wasted time and money on
going back to school for a career change. What a waste of time!!
