I have looked all summer and got a couple of interviews,
but no teaching job. I am a new science teacher and was
told several times when I went back to school for a
teaching certificate that I would not have trouble finding
a job. My GPA is very high, I have experience subbing,
passed the Praxis exams with no trouble, my student
teaching sessions were good, and I love the kids and
teaching. I even have work experience in the field of
science.
I am beginning to wonder if I am being discriminated
against because I am not twenty-something.

Are there any other science teachers out there having
trouble finding a job?? Who are getting the jobs?

I am really bothered by this and would like some answers,
please.
