Post: experienced teacher needs job
Posted by frustrated on 6/26/08
I have attended two job fairs with the St. Tammany Parish
School District. I have a Master's Degree and National
Board Certification. Does anyone know if a teacher can be
considered an expensive hire? I am puzzled how a teacher
just out of college can get the job over someone who has
experience teaching a variety of learning styles,
interests, differentiates instruction to accommodate the
ADD, ADHD, bipolar, learning disabilities, and
intellectually gifted all in one room? I have proven my
ability to meet national standards and to be recognized as
a Master Teachr. Please give me some insight.............
Thank you
