Posted by We SHOULD have tests on 11/08/08 I live in a state (CT) which recognizes the PRAXIS tests. I'm all for having standardized tests. There are many teacher wannabees flooding the job applicant pool. Some of these people he a sudden interest in shortage area subjects such as math and science, because that's where the jobs are. When I was taking my PRAXIS 2, I was in a room with two test takers taking the 7-12 math test for the tenth and twelfth time!. None of my fellow math majors would have flunked on the first attempt. Now that the slow economy will flood the teacher applicant pool, I think you'll be glad to see several applicants eliminated due to the fact that they can't pass these tests.
