Yes, I got hired here in two different school districts in
late August. There are tons of shifts in the summer and
spots do open up. Also, most administrators tend to take
vacation in mid-July as the strings from the previous year
have been tied up and there is still time to relax before
they have to hire people in August. Don't give up! The
last week of August is also a huge hiring blitz in some
