The frustrating part is that I do have experience
teaching, just not in a public school. I have taught in a
private school and daycare but I can't seem to get into a
public school. There are so few openings and when there are,
they first go to teachers inside the system, which I
completely understand, but is frustrating. I am trying to
decide if I should consider applying for paraprofessional
positions but I would rather not, and I can't take a pay cut
since I already make a very low salary. I also can't sub or
do a short term maternity leave because I need benefits. I
am still trying to be hopeful that something will open up
soon. Thanks for responses.
