Hi Kate,
I received my preliminary license in August of 2008. All I had to do was
take the two MTEL exams and the content exam for my major. The scores were
submitted to the DOE. I applied online and submitted a fee. Also, sent
transcripts for all universities attended, and that was it, no syllabi. It
took a while though, so start early.
