I have a major pet peeve with students who text, use
their 'sidekicks', play music on their cellphone, email
via cellphone, or use any electronic gadgets while in
class....
Some students feel they have a right to use their
electronic toys in my class.
Sometimes it's a battle to get the students to put their
electronic toys away...The moment my back is turned, they
are back to texting....I never cease to be amazed by
students who don't understand why it's innapropriate to
play music in class. I tell them to turn it off, they only
turn it down!
If you catch your students texting or playing music while
you are trying to teach the class- and they refuse to put
the electronics away-what do you do?
