Who I remember doesn't matter. I remember very vibrant, happy teachers, who in retrospect
    weren't good teachers.

Who taught well is what makes a difference, especially in my field of special ed. It can be
the difference between reading and not reading. Between being able to get a job and being
    homeless in the future.

"DUH" yes, exactly... Actually if you read my post, I didn't say we deserve MORE money in
Michigan. Our state has it right, more or less, in the public school system. Other states
    and privates/charters have it wrong.

We work our buts off but so

The janitor in my school doesn't work very hard, but some do. They probably get paid about
what they deserve because it doesn't require many skills. Wall Street brokers usually make
VERY good money if they're any good. They're usually good because they got to Wall Street
so no trouble there. Police Officers usually make pretty close to what teachers make, plus
they get overtime. Considering they sometimes only require a high school diploma or maybe
an associate's degree, that's probably good.
