Posted by NC is a good place to be on 4/04/08 I have a theory that mainly unhappy teachers who've moved out of state come back to this board. I love teaching in NC. I love living in NC. Even though the economy is bad news everywhere right now, there's still a major sense of GROWTH in NC. I like the feel. There is no union to protect good and bad teachers-but I've always been treated fairly. If you're a homebody, stay. But if you really want to make the best life possible for your new family, go to NC and the interviews with open minds-not just for a vacation because the tickets are non-refundable. You may find there is life after Michigan.
