I didn't say it was a bad place but in the LONG TERM you will
make more money, and your pay, benefits and job will be
protected by the unions...you don't have to pay taxes on your
car up here, would you rather start at $35,000 or $29,000 and
pay a lot of taxes.....living in most parts of NC is not
cheaper than living here, unless you live in the sticks...go
visit the NC board and you will see that multiple times. Your
fiance is a male, he'll get hired into a public school sooner
than you think. NC is not bad, it's clean, beautiful, the
people are a heck of a lot nicer than they are up here, they
have caring teachers etc....BUT what's the most important
things when it comes to a career....money, benefits, job
security...you'll find there is much more of that here in all
those categories. Well, job security is public schools at
least, charter maybe...it all depends.
