Re: Resumes
Posted by mark on 4/11/08

All these people saying one or two pages are a "must" or
should always or never be this are wrong. As we have proved
with all the conflicting opinions and experiences, there is no
    right answer.

First off, many of the districts are now using online
applications, and they don't even look at your resume in paper
form. Second, a resume should get to the point without being
too brief. A good rule of thumb is if you've been in the work
world, either in education or out, for more than 10 years, you
should probably have two. If you haven't, then you're
probably stretching it to get more than one. Is it the end of
the world if you violate this? No. Your resume should be
informative and eye catching witout being as longs as a novel,
but much more than a catchy flyer one would put under a
windshield wiper. If your resume meets these requirements,
then I don't thing one or two pages matters too much.
