	Re: Retirement benefits Posted by kev on 5/03/08 The following website has all the details: http://www.michigan.gov/orsschools Basically, any teacher can buy up to 5 years with a cost based on your highest previous yearly salary (so cheaper to buy early before moving up the pay scale). Need a minimum of 10 years to be vested. Reirement pay equal to 1.5% per year of employment of your final average salary.
