yeah, I can see that...and I understand. But its not just the
advisors...it's the faculty, recruiters, the schools in general -
mean - WHY have an accelerated program for elementary teachers
when there's no jobs? Yeah, it might save a job or two at the
college in the short term, but in the long run its hurting our
economy, esp. when as a state we need workers in other fields
like healthcare and computers that are being overlooked or not
given the emphasis they could be given. Personally I find it
morally reprehensible for colleges to pump out students in a
field when 3/4 of them won't be able to find jobs...just so the
college can spend - like mine did - 1 million dollars on a new
fancy entrance. But i guess its just part of the sad state of
affairs...
