I'm considering giving up a steady, part-time night job
and placing my younger son in day care a few days a week
to start substitute teaching (in the hope that it will get
me noticed some time in the next few years in our local
school districts). Currently, my wife works days and I
work night and we don't require any child care. My main
concern is - the price of a good day care in the Ann Arbor
area is fairly high. I'll be able to afford it and make a
little profit only if I get called in to work most days.
Is there enough work available for substitute teachers in
the Ann Arbor area?
