I just wanted to post about how much I love my job. I work
in a charter middle/high school in Warren that truly
functions like a big family. Our budget is managed as well
as it can be for our times, and we never feel alone,
worried about getting pink slipped, etc. We don't get paid
much--- average 32,000 per year, but there is something
about us that warms my heart every day. Most of our kids
are bussed in from Wayne County, and about 10% from Macomb,
and it works for us. We are a well oiled machine most days.
Every school has problems, and we have our fair share, but
at the end of the day, we really did "make a
difference"...I feel it in my heart. Our students are well
behaved because we hold them accountable, and they love us
for it.
