You are telling me! I am 57, I have an MA. I am certified in
5 different subjects and I have 25 years of experience
working with all kinds of situations from Advanced Placement
to alternative diplomas. I quit my 13 year position because
of a family emergency and now 3 years later and HUNDREDS of
applications filled out and I am unemployed. No one will hire
me. Subbing is the only job I can get and that is not enough
money to live on. I am sick of reading about how teaching
always has jobs. Not true. I can't even get an interview or a
human response. What can we do?
