    Post: job outlook

    Posted by matty41 on 1/01/09

I haven't graduated yet, so maybe I'm just naive. I've
seen on several job posts teaching jobs availabe in MN.
I'm actually in IL, but I check on all the states around
me in case I need to relocate once I do become a teacher.
Are these positions in just bad areas that nobody wants to
work? Are there gangs, violence, etc. really bad in the
Minneapolis area? I know all cities have crime, but is
there a safer area in the city? What about Eden Prairie
area? Does anyone know anything about the Columbia
Heights area? That was one area that had a need for a 1st
grade teacher, and Buffalo needs a Kindergarten teacher.

Let me know any info. you can about teaching in MN.
Thanks and I hope you all had a Happy, Safe, New Year's
    Eve!
