You are looking for a job in a tight market at a difficult time of
year. Your best bet is to get in a district that you want to teach
in as a substitute teacher. Perhaps you will be selected for a long
term assignment and then be hired permanently. The other
possibility is to work as a teaching assistant for the same reasons.
An online application with REAP is your best bet for public
schools. There is a job fair in March at UMSL and I think in May in
Columbia at the University of Missouri. This is a good way to get
a foot in the door and possibly interview with an administrator.
For non public teaching jobs, try the independentschools.org
website. Hang in there.
