They can do whatever they want in NC...unless it specifically
states work days/hours in your contract (which I have not seen
in either NC system I have worked for). I have friends being
required to stay at work until 7pm for "staff development"
because the system refuses to get subs to allow people to do
this training (most of it pointless) during the school day.
