I just retired at 58 With 25 years service. Took social security leveling option 4. How much will I get total in social security and pension after I turn 62 ?

the end in sight! Getting ready to do the same ! It's what the legislature wants so I am giving them their wish. :) Going to keep working - just in another field.

A First thought: Isn't the type of thing you should check before you make the decision to retire?

Second thought: We can't answer this because too many variables are missing from the two separate equations.

same here I'm taking SS Leveling for the following reasons:

1. I am debt free and can live on it if I have to 2. Men in my family don't live long usually 3. I have to get out - I am damaging my health staying in this profession 4. I want to get it while I can - things are so volatile in many arenas, who knows what the future hold.
