So are there really other jobs that could contribute to TRS?

Well, pretty much just that question. Are there other jobs that would count towards the Teacher Retirement System? I thought it was separate from the State Retirement System... or do some jobs count and some do not. I'm pretty sure being a Title One teacher would count or a teacher's assistant. The only other thing I can see myself doing is Title One as far as the teaching field goes. I would like to have a big change and still work towards retirement.

A It's disheartening to hear so many people feeling so down about our job. Worse still, no one cares except us.

I really think a big part of this issue is that consequences essentially don't exist anymore, so kids just do whatever they please.
