December 14, 2016 *H16-v-1* 1 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 2 AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO PROVIDE A ONE-TIME, HOLIDAY BONUS TO 3 TEACHERS AND STATE EMPLOYEES. 4 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5 SECTION 1.(a) There is created the Holiday Bonus Compensation Fund (Bonus 6 Fund) to provide a one-time compensation bonus in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000), 7 payable January 31, 2017, to teachers and to State employees subject to the State Human 8 Resources Act.
