Hello All,

I have some information that might be worth sharing with
Nebraska art teachers. I work in public relations on behalf
of U.S. Cellular, and the company is focusing its corporate
giving on education. U.S. Cellular has partnered with
DonorsChoose.org and has set aside $1 million for a program
called “Calling All Teachers.”

Calling All Teachers enables and encourages public-school
teachers to post funding requests for projects on the site
DonorsChoose.org that might not fit into their allotted
budgets. Public-school teachers may post funding requests to
the site through Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-8. There
are currently 12 Nebraska projects on the site, and I’m
confident that there is a greater funding need than those 12
projects in Nebraska, so perhaps if you shared this
information among your colleagues, as well as in a
newsletters, blogs, Facebook, e-mail blasts or all of the
above that you have access to, it might help more projects
from Nebraska appear on the donor site.
