No, I put myself and my husband in debt going back to school
to get my teaching cert. Had I known that who you know is
the most important thing here, I would have never done this.
And it is supposed to be a big secret because no one has the
guts to admit what goes on behind closed doors. I had 2
principals want to hire me, but they could not because the
jobs were promised to others.
We now have to move to small apartment, because we cannot
afford our home (which is not that big at all). I subbed,
graduated with honors, all those things. It is so unfair. I
cannot believe some of the people here who hold teaching
jobs, just because they were connected. They are lazy and so
entitled. I have seen it firsthand. My favorite was the
English teacher who would not know grammar if it hit her in
the face. They will never understand what this feels like
because they were able to be hired so easily. I went on a 2
hour interview, only to find out it was all for show. They
never intended to hire me or the others, because the
connected ones were handed the jobs. There will never be
enough teaching jobs here for all of us, but if your daddy
plays golf with the superintendent, you are IN. Sick.
