Posted by Lisa on 10/08/08 Hi Kerri: I was an science alternate route teacher about six years ago and I got hired. HS Science is in demand in NJ, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I know that Lakewood HS in Lakewood, NJ was looking for a Earth Science teacher around when school started. You might want to try there. They gave me my first job and the science department is very supportive of new teachers.
