Can anyone tell me what happens to your teaching certification if you fail to give a full 60 days notice? The job I would be taking is not in education (I'm not sure I will be returning education but I don't know if I want to completely lose my license). The district knows I am already leaving in June. I appreciate your help.
ro/nj nothing happens, districts are way too busy to go after anyone and even if they did, your license would not be at risk. relax

b careful Depends on the district. A superintendent told me he would go after my license. I think they can suspend it for a year. It may have been an idle threat, but I didn't want to take the chance.

ron/nj It has to be something serious to pull someone's license like sexual or stealing. The state can't remove or suspend a license for just not giving the 60 days notice.
