One of my students videotaped me with his cellphone in the classroom without my knowledge. This same student made an attempt to videotape another teacher, and this teacher took the student's phone away and scrolled through the videos on his phone and saw that I had already been videotaped. I never saw the videotape that the student recorded of me. The administrator informed me about this video, and the student had to delete the video. I never saw the student delete the video. What are my rights in this situation of the student videotaping me? Should the administrator have shown me the video before the student deleted it?

Thanks.
ron/nj talk to the union, sure sounds like your rights were violated.
