I am new to CCSD, I came to Las Vegas from Phladelphia, to get way from the new evaluation system they implemented in Piladelphia City Schools. I did some research and found out that starting next year, CCSD is moving in the same directions. No seniority, no steps, you receive a raise only if you receive a good evaluation, 50% of the evaluation is students test score Even now teachers are not guaranteed to receive the step for 2014-2015. They might freeze the steps again. The school I was teaching last year Robinson MS less than 40% pass the state test. If the principal doesn't give you an exceptional evaluation you are toast In my case, I am still on probation for the next two years, I'll be fired along with everyone who is new to the district. I wish I did my homework before applying to CCSD. I am so stupid, stupid, stupid....
