What is the rules on transfer in CCSD? My wife is in her 2nd year but has been surplussed 2 times and has an opportunity to fill an opening real close to our home. She is sick of all the evals she has been getting, 7-8 per year. Her Principal was in Friday for 1 hour and is coming back Monday for a 90 minute one. She has passed every one with flying colors and is one of the most dedicated Teachers I have ever met but is sick of not having prep time in the morning at her school. The Principal is trying to get noticed and has 4 meetings a week before school and made all the Teachers join 2 clubs or get lower eval scores. I know most Henderson schools are going to year round and she wants that so getting an opportunity at a great school in Seven Hills/Anthem area is something she must jump on.

Does she have 8 years in CCSD? If so, she is tenured. She won't be fired for going to the union about a contract violation. Honestly, I don't CCSD getting rid of anyone unless they're putting in a movie every day and napping when she should be teaching. Even then, that teacher might be back the next year. There are so many unfilled slots right now....

She needs to go to the union and get paid for the time that has been taken, or at least have it stop, and to stop the overwhelming number of observations. She needs to stop being a door mat. If you let a bully get away with it, it will just get worse.
