    All state's public education systems are political. You didn't
    notice that you VOTE for school board? Said school board appoints
    administration, and it trickles down from there.

    Why should they? Universities don't tell Philosophy or History
    majors that a BA in those fields won't net them a job, so why would
    they do this for education? Its your responsibility to research
    the job market. I despise the fact that there are adults out there
    who are asking to be responsible for childrens' education, but are
    too lazy or ignorant to do some research before investing time and
    money into a career.

    How do you expect me (a person who hires) to believe that you'll be
    able to plan lessons or locate resources for your students? You
    can't even do a Google search on the teacher job market! Heck,
    just look at this chatboard, easily found through Google.

    There's a lot of this crap out there. People going into a glutted
    field, not bothering to research the job market, and then blaming
    anyone else but themselves and crying because they can't get a job.
    Its disturbing that this is the future of the profession!
