    Re: Teachers' Code of Conduct
    Posted by Tina/OH/5 on 8/18/08

I heard the same thing mid year last year. Our district has
yet to formally let us know what the scoop is on this. From
what I heard it's a bunch of crock. I'm not a drinker, but
occassionally will have a drink. I think it's wrong that I
should have to walk on eggshells and worry that parents
might be lurking. If I understand correctly, I guess if
parents want to make a complaint they are supposed to
contact ODE directly and don't even go through the principal
or superintendent of the school district. My husband says
this could cause problems with high schoolers posing as
parents making false claims agains teachers. I even heard
that if a teacher hears another teacher talking or
complaining about a staff member that they are supposed to
report it. Good Lord! We have all vented during moments of
frustration. I can see staff members closing their doors
and keep to themselves if this is the case. There were a
bunch of other things similar to this. If you happen to
find the site where specifics are laid out, I'd like to see
    it.
