I'm retired from the public schools after 40+ years but

concerned about the article in our newspaper yesterday

relative to the fact that the article stated that Ohio

ranks third in the nation in homeschooling.

The article,perhaps many of you saw,stated that many

public schools in Ohio should be closed and others should

be consolidated. I beleve the article stated that one-third

of all school systems could be closed.

I tried to locate the article to no avail.

Sure would love to have several public teachers share your

views. My career was spent in the state of Ohio.

Another note: Homeschooling in Ohio is rapidly growing.
pksped If homeschooling regulations are considered rigid (I think that's the word the article use), I shudder to think what the laws must be in other states.

mama maria- love it I think homeschooling is great. I homeschooled my own 2 children, both with lds, one of whom which the ps iep team thought would never learn to read or write, in fact they assured me that it would be impossible for them to teach her to read or write and wanted to put her in life skills classes.
