The last I heard was that Ms. Garrett was going to make an annoucement at the Superindent get together that she does every year to see how well it goes over. I personally think we as teachers need to email and call her office to give our educated opinions about these changes. She made the statement that many schools in OK end their day at 2:30 and that she has seen school busses in the mall parking lots during the school day. I wonder if she has considered that possibly that school bus is a vo-tech bus from out of town that is not wasting fuel while the driver waits for the students to get out of class. I also wonder exactly how many schools in OK get out at 2:30 and what time they started in order to do that. My school lets out at 3:10 and because ALL of our students ride a bus some don't get home until after 4:00. I agree that she needs to spend time in our schools away from OKC. Nothing against you guys down there but there is a lot more to OK schools than the big city schools. Jessica
