I think you should contact your union (OEA) and see if your local has
a negotiated agreement section about liquidation of damages. Many
districts do and it explains what it will cost you to get out of your
contract IF your school board is willing to let you.
Let us know how you do...sorry things are so bad. I think teaching is
going to continue to get harder and harder as family values continue
to decline.
