I work in the OKC area so I'm not familiar on the Tulsa area
schools/hiring practices...
I know resident teachers here are assigned a mentor teacher
in the school and usually someone from the local college (I
think?). In my district, they have to attend monthly
meetings with all the resident teachers to discuss various
topics. You are considered a 1st year teacher in regards to
payroll. You'll have more scheduled observations than
continuing teachers (there's no tenure), but those are easy!
Good luck!
