Re: No luck in OR., so far! Please help!

    I tried to get a job in OR for 5 years--in Bend area and PDX. I
    knew of people who had been subbing for even longer than I had
    been and weren't any closer to getting a full-time position.
    Speaking Spanish, being in Math or Science, or SPED might help,
    but that's got to be the toughest place on the planet to find
    full-time teaching. It's even difficult to get enough work
    subbing, and the PDX school district stopped taking subs when I
    inquired, because they had too many--most were certified
    teachers with Master's degrees! It's all about who you know or
    having something in high demand.
