    You can figure on about $1000- and up for rent on a decent
    apartment now. Prices have really gone up in the past year.

    There are lots of decent areas to rent in all parts of RI.

    This year jobs are tight. The bulk of money for many districts
    comes fromt the state and state money should be about equal to
    last year with no increase for most districts. Your chances of
    hiring depend on the subject you teach.

    Rhode Island certification requiremnts are listed on the state
    website (www.ridoe.net). The department of education can be
    slow in processing certification applications. You should
    start the process early to be sure you are certified when you
    apply in Rhode
