Re: Anyone familiar with Section 8 housing in S.C.
Posted by Mr. Roger's, get a grip on 6/30/07

I believe this poster said "unless you have children to support or
are disabled get off the welfare." Obviously he/she put that out
    there. I don't see why a master's degreed person needs section 8
either. I work for the state of S.C. and I visit chat boards as my
daughter is an aspiring teacher. There are more people on welfare,
sucking the system dry, so people who REALLY need it can't get it.
There are people like the disabled and laid-off people such as
yourself that also need assistance but if someone with a master's
degree is looking for public housing and free rent, then I'm thinking
someone is looking for a free ride considering they probably went to
school for free as well. Get your facts straight sir before you start
going off on a tangent. And another thing, children and adults are
treated differently, so I wouldn't go around comparing things people
    say about adults to children.
