I'm wondering if it's worth it to fly into Greenville for the district's hiring event in April? I need to find a job, as my spouse is being transferred to G'ville. It would be $700 trip with airfare.

Does anyone know if these events truly result in hirings over the next few months, or would I have just as good a chance of applying to openings when they are posted? I have 12 years experience and a SC license.

thanks Dawn

Why don't you look on the district's website and see how many positions they are looking to fill? That might give you an idea of some sort.

thanks

Then I was at one in Greenville in December and nothing happened, although I am a specialty teacher. At this time I havent seen much posted and there were a lot of young hopeful teachers and vets looking for jobs in December. I wou...See More
